How do VPS backups work?

The Daily Backup add-on stores automated backups of your VPS on separate storage — not on the server itself. If a disk or a bad deploy takes the server down, you restore from the last good copy.

How far back can I restore?

The Daily Backup add-on keeps a 7-day retention window. You can restore the whole server or pull out individual files.

Can I add backups to an existing VPS?

Yes — add the Daily Backup add-on from this page or enable it on your next VPS order in the configurator. It attaches to your server from the dashboard.

Do any plans already include backups?

Several do: VPS Business and above include scheduled backups, and Windows VPS/RDP plans include daily backups by default. The add-on is for plans that ship without them or when you want longer retention.

Daily, automatically

Once the add-on is attached, your server is backed up every day without any scheduling on your side.

7-day retention

The last seven daily copies are kept, so you can go back to before the incident.

Restore what you need

Roll the whole server back, or pull out individual files — open a ticket and we handle it.

Stored off your server

Backups live on separate storage — losing the server never means losing the copies.
